Privacy Policy

GiftMe is operated by Keystone Foundry Ltd. This policy explains what information we use when you access the GiftMe website or iOS application.

Information we collect

• Account details such as your name, email address, encrypted password, or Apple Sign in identifier.
• Content you choose to add, including gift lists, gift ideas, links, notes, event dates, family birthday day/month, profile text and an optional profile photo.
• Connection, invitation and gift-reservation activity needed to provide shared lists while keeping surprises private until an event has passed.
• Notification preferences and device push token if you enable notifications.
• Subscription status and transaction identifiers supplied by Apple or Stripe. GiftMe does not receive your full card details.
• Basic security and diagnostic information such as login time, IP address and server error logs.

How we use information

We use this information to provide accounts and shared gift lists, connect invited users, prevent duplicate gifts, deliver requested reminders and notifications, verify subscriptions, secure the service, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising tracking.

Who can see information

Your connections and people using a valid share link can see the profile and list information necessary to use the shared list. A child's stored birthday day and month are not shown to connections. List owners cannot see who reserved a gift until the event has passed.

Service providers and transfers

We use service providers for hosting, email, push notifications and payments. Apple processes Sign in with Apple, App Store subscriptions and push notifications; Stripe processes website subscriptions. Third-party shops receive information when you choose to open their links and apply their own privacy policies.

Retention and security

We keep account information while your account is active and retain limited records for security, dispute resolution, accounting or legal requirements where necessary. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can change notification preferences in the app, remove list content and connections, or delete your account from the Account screen. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing.

Children

GiftMe accounts are intended for adults. An adult may create a managed gift list using a child's first name and birthday day/month. We do not ask for or store the child's birth year, and children should not create their own accounts.
